Incasgypsy
Measure & fit
Accurate drops and headings for flats, offices, and studio rooms around Central.
Book a measure visit or bring your own notes to Shop B—Incasgypsy will check them before cutting.
Curtains fail most often on measurement, not on fabric. Incasgypsy Soft Textiles records width, drop, stack-back, and clearance for each opening. We note whether you use a recess track, face-fixed pole, or ceiling rail, and whether the sill, heater, or AC unit changes the finish length.
What we take on site
We photograph the window for our workshop notes, mark fabric direction if a weave has a nap, and confirm lining choice against the room’s light. If you already have poles, we check diameter and bracket strength against the cloth weight you prefer.
Your preparation
Clear access to the window and remove fragile items from the sill. If the building requires advance notice for deliveries on fitting day, share the loading rules when you book. For Mid-Levels or nearby districts we schedule around our Central shop hours so returns to Gage Street stay practical.
Fitting day
Panels arrive pressed. We hang, steam where needed, and adjust hooks or wave gliders so the leading edges meet cleanly. You walk through open and closed positions before we leave. Small length tweaks can often be handled in the same visit.
Alterations
Existing curtains that are too long, too short, or missing lining can often be remade. Bring a panel to Incasgypsy for an honest assessment of fabric condition before we commit to restyling.
